Since its foundation, the SIE has organized its annual thematic conferences in various Italian cities (http://www.siestetica.it/convegni_list), hosting renowned international scholars of aesthetics (José Jimenéz, Hans-Dieter Bahr, Baldine Saint Girons, Stephen Halliwell, Jerrold Levinson, Winfried Menninghaus, Carolyn Korsmeyer, Wolfgang Welsch, Peter Lamarque) and prominent Italian scholars of cognate disciplines.

The SIE has also promoted events and projects such as the “SIE Summer School” (http://www.siestetica.it/summer_school), an international bibliography on aesthetics (http://www.siestetica.it/bibliografia), and the "International Lexicon of Aesthetics" (https://lexicon.mimesisjournals.com/), aimed at the enhancement and internationalization of the Italian aesthetic research, carried out by both consolidated and younger generations of scholars.
